Top 10 favorite sights in Paris

My top 10 favorite sights and must sees in Paris, include:

10. The Repetto boutique!    The displays were every little girl’s ballerina dream.

9. Louvre for the Mona Lisa.  She is worth the hype. Since we went on a Friday afternoon in early March, the crowds were not bad and we enjoyed seeing one of the most talked about pieces of art, in person. We even got a selfie with her.

8. Sacre Couer.  The view of the city was expansive and it was fun to walk through Montmartre.

7. The Eiffel Tower.  My favorite time of day was at dusk when it lights up.

6. The Seine. Walking along the Seine, especially at sunset was magical. Each bridge had it’s own personality and while the water was brown, there was life on each bank, and so many things happening along the path.  It was great people watching, too.

5. Arc du Triomphe.  Due to the proximity to our hotel, we got to visit the Arc several times, but I’m so glad that we got to climb to the top and soak in the view before we left.  This was one of my favorite views of the Eiffel Tower too.

4. Notre Dame. Hearing the church choir and walking around the Notre Dame  is something I could do hundreds of times. I noticed new things everytime and enjoyed seeing the grounds at different times of the day, too.

3. Pony rides in the Jardins de Luxembourg  were one of my biggest highlights of the trip. This experience was so fun and charming, along with seeing the toy sailboats!

2. Musee d’Orsay.  We found the layout much more friendly and easy to navigate then the Louvre and we loved the Impressionist curation,   as well as the building and the sculptures, especially Pompon.

  1. Sainte Chappelle     We saved the best site-seeing for our last day in Paris and I’m so glad we made time to see this jewel before leaving Paris. The department of Justice obscures the church from the street so I think this can be easily misleading and not seen, unless you go inside. We were amazed by the walls of stained glass and so impressed. This is easily the number one thing I will continue to recommend to everyone visiting Paris!

April Showers

It’s been much more chilly and rainy in Seattle this month. (At the end of the March, it was in the mid 60s and sunny. Recently, it’s been raining and in the low 50s.)

Fortunately, we’ve found lots of fun ways to stay dry. 539247_620510405492_1034132893_n Over the weekend, we celebrated my Uncle’s birthday with a tour of the Seattle Art Museum! 3674_620506413492_1631819475_n We had family photos with Blackburn Sound and Photo afterwards too! Photos by Blackburn Sound and Photo 8625951917_f05380ecbd 8625952047_e9e4e62b58 I love our photos! 8625952165_5c158b71fc 8627061968_21f67d84ef Click the hyperlink for more of our family photos taken by Blackburn Sound and Photo.539025_620510630042_1530084290_n72650_620516084112_1730612264_n We had birthday cake at the SAM Taste restaurant too. 551521_10100476924157220_249608645_n536904_620530185852_220686482_n In between the downpours, we snapped a quick picture with viaduct in the background.

We’ve started going to yoga a few times a week and we’re really enjoying it. It reminds me of ballet  and the feeling of contentment afterwards is amazing.

On Tuesday night, we went to Agrodolce for dinner. 58949_620845054852_460679980_n549010_620852110712_1278566258_nWe loved the Southern Italian food and will totally go back soon. We’re looking forward to our trip next weekend to Berkeley to visit our friend, Mohit. We’re also planning a trip to Walla Walla in June!

Pink Pinterest posting fun!

Ballet pink is my favorite color today! Here are some of my favorite Pinterest posts of today too.

I wish I knew where to find a dress similar to Rachel Bilson’s pretty pink gown. I love the color, the sleeves, and her gorgeous hair. My hair dreams of looking like hers.

I think this secret garden is the perfect place to eat pink grapefruit cupcakes and wear a pink princess gown.

All this pink reminds me of the last scene from Sleeping Beauty!

I want to dance!

[source] Every since I bought my new Bloch ballet flats, I’ve wanted to dance. After seeing Heather Morris’ dance moves I’m even more inspired.
I’m not sure if I’m feeling more like hip hop dance classes or taking up ballet again, perhaps both.

Here are some of Heather Morris’ dance tips, that I plan on employing:

The simplest way to do something cool is the cross-turn. Like in the ’80s — Michael Jackson did it. You jump and cross your legs together at the same time, and then spin out of it. That’s it.”

You know what’s really hot? Pop-and-locking, ticking. The moonwalk. Tricks like that.
The secret to moonwalking: You have to have slick shoes, or else your feet would get stuck. And you trick people. Your right foot pops, and you’re pushing your left foot back, and once your left foot lands, you do the same thing. It just looks like you’re gliding on air.”

Ballet slippers for me!

I just got a great package in the mail today! I adore my new Bloch shoes! They are the Bloch Rosalina slippers that I ordered from
They came in such an pretty pink package too!
They are so awesome!
How adorable are these shoes?  They come in so many cute colors too!  I did a few pirouettes to test them out and they are so comfortable! These lovely shoes have inspired me to dance again. I found a great studio a 10 minute walk away. In addition to beginning ballet classes, they also have Yoga Booty Ballet, Barre Burn, Core Barre Ballet, and Ballet Body
After our condo sells, and we have an offer currently, I plan on signing up for all of these fun classes and buying more Bloch ballet flats!
