I’ve meant to write this post for several weeks. This time a month ago this was my view. My BFF since middle school was awesomely available to go to Honolulu with me for a work trip. After my last day at the clinic, we drove up to the North Shore for a late lunch in our black Mustang convertible! We got garlic shrimp and ahi poke from some cool food trucks before a quick, last swim in the Pacific Ocean. As a fun friend from college said, #bestiessmilealike. Andy Mac also took me to one of her favorite shave ice places and it was delicious. We had an amazing room at the Marriott on Waikiki that was picture perfect before we left for the airport. The moon rise over Diamond Head was a gorgeous send off. I got a fun touristy t-shirt from Patagonia on the North Shore in Haleiwa and it says, “Pataloha”. Before we got on the plane, we stopped by the lei stands for leis for her mom and my grandmother, Tootie. Since we were flying the red eye home, we both put our glasses on, at the airport! By the time I got back to Seattle, the sun was rising over Mount Rainer. I love my town.
