The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

Day 16 of BlogtemberReview a book place, or product.

a0fbc8ce6a192613325e54bce4ef7effThe Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman was a lovely yet heart wrenching, thrilling and magical book. I enjoyed the reading the thoughts of a child who believes in magic and monsters. It was sad to read about the child’s fears and loneliness but it was hauntingly beautiful too. The story reminded me of another one of my favorite books by Neil Gaiman, Stardust. Some of the child-like charm also remind me of the Chronicles of Narnia too.

What was the last book that you read that made you remember childhood? Or what was the last book that made you completely dive into that reality and not want to put it down?

The Ocean at the End of the Lane was my first Gaiman book. I fell so deeply in love with that story that I went on to read more of Gaiman’s stuff and I currently have Stardust out from the library now. I’m excited to dive into it!
