It started with a children’s bike parade around the Seabrook community, and a quick dip in the Pacific Ocean, under cloudy skies… Katy and I thought it was very cold, but Rusty didn’t seem to mind. After lunch, Katy’s friend from grad school arrived with her two cute little boys. It was a super sunny afternoon, with very little wind. Sam collected lots of shells and Ben crawled all over the beach! Before dinner, Sam decided he wanted to use my camera. He’s a pretty great photographer. He was pretty funny and also put a pair of galoshes on that were almost taller than his legs. Instead of an organized fireworks display, people gathered on the beach and lighted their own! It was very festive and loud! We listened to Bruce Springsteen and Katy brought Arbonne products for facials! In between masques, we saw fireworks from the porch! It was a wonderful and relaxing Independence day. I slept very well!
