Our first day in SF, we immediately went for dim sum. We checked into our hotel and then walked to Yank Sing. After a very large lunch we walked along the Embarcadero from Pier 1 to Fort Mason. We briefly stopped at the touristy Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf looking for sea lions but kept going to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It was actually hiding in the fog but I got a few pictures anyway. We probably walked about 6 miles and we exhausted by 4pm. We thought about getting a taxi but instead walked through more of Fort Mason’s community garden, Russian Hill and China Town. We walked up Hyde Street and saw many cable cars go by and the famous Lombard Street too. We finally made it back to the hotel on tired feet to wine taste at Chateau Montlena. We were recommended to go to Bourbon and Branch/Wilson and Wilson/the Library four blocks away from our hotel for specialty cocktails. The masterful bartender there recommended we go to flour and water for dinner.
